But it is never the platform—the Facebook or Messenger or iPhone or Gmail—that captivates us.
It’s the words we read there…
It’s the words that make us cry or laugh or protest in anger.
It’s the words that get us to DO (and buy) things.
But you can’t just throw anything on the page.
To get the ‘just right’ message, you have to understand where you want to go.

At Stanford, I earned my B.A. in Journalism/American Studies and flirted with writing at the Stanford Daily. I also got an M.A./International Studies at Johns Hopkins.
I launched my career on Madison Avenue at Ogilvy & Mather. A few years later, I joined BBDO's International Department in New York.
My global aspirations were rewarded when I was asked to join a 4-person team running BBDO's European headquarters in Paris. As the European Communications Director, I spearheaded a series of award-winning global trend studies.
After several years at BBDO, I ventured out on my own with a communications agency geared towards big companies. (My first client was Nike!). I later evolved my business to specialize in internet marketing and now work with a combination of entrepreneurs and larger companies.
My writing experience is long, deep and varied. I have written for some of the world's most prestigious companies. I have studied under many copywriting greats. An email specialist, I have also written countless webinars, sales letters, blogs and websites.
I am a published author of several books including one of the first books written about social media (publsihed by Kogan Page Publishers in London). I am also a seasoned presenter and keynote speaker.

A native 3rd generation Californian, I have lived in France for 25 years, dividing my time between Paris and my Burgundy farmhouse.
When I'm not writing, I ride bikes, take long walks in the countryside, read, listen to jazz, visit the French open markets and cook.
I'm well known for my love of animals and my country home is always packed with (very) large dogs, an array of cats and the occasional horse.
My greatest accomplishment and 2 best friends are my beautiful, incredibly talented daughters, Chloe and Gabriella.
